Exhibition 【菊池克展】Exhibition of KIKUCHI Katsu

古陶から技法を学ぶだけでなく、古典に触れることでその時代の雰囲気やその物が
存在した意義など深い観察で吸収し、昇華された作品はとても強い存在感が放たれている。
使い手を愉しませることを忘れない克先生。近年制作に取り組まれているのが「陶俑」
である。昨年は韓国民間伝承の死神をモチーフに獣に跨る人物を作られ、今年は一遍上人
（鎌倉中期の僧侶）絵伝を参考に楽し気な陶印を作られた。
長年取り組まれている茶碗・器などは回を重ねる毎に使い手への親しみやすさが増して

1996　青山学院大学経済学部卒
　　　スペイン留学　美術学校で陶芸を学ぶ
2001　中川自然坊に師事（唐津）
2008　大分・国東に登り窯を築窯
2010　初個展（別府・三昧堂）
2012　個展（京都・川口美術）
2013　韓国・通度寺にて作陶
2014　個展（東京・しぶや黒田陶苑）
　　　他　各地で個展・グループ展を行う

His artworks have strong attraction as a result of his passion on learning techniques from antiques pottery, by studying the historical meaning in the period, and the atmosphere of the age.
He never forgets to care about fans to enjoy. Recent works are an earthen figure, a like man on a horse as in the motif of the Reaper n the Korean folklore, and funny stamps referenced in the picture of Ippen Shonin Eden - Illustrated Life of Saint Ippen, a monk in the Kamakura Period. Tea bowls and dishes that he has created for a long period becomes more used-friendly. Please enjoy his latest works.

KIKUCHI Katsu
1972　Born in Tokyo.
1996　Graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University, department of Economics. Studied in Spain afterwards.
2001　Trained under NAKAGAWA Jinenbo.
2008　Built his own climbing kiln in Kunisaki Peninsula, Ohita.
2013　Pottery Making at Tongdosa Temple in Korea.
2014　Held his first exhibition at Shibuya Kurodatoen.
He has been holding solo exhibitions and joined group exhibitions in various places.
