水注 Water pourer

丸い半円形を、上下や前面背面に合わせて形を作った壷などの作品を残された八木先生ですが、本作品はその流れを汲んで出来たボディーの水注。
上下に半円型の形を合わせ、バリをあえて残して作られている。
蓋の形も、茶碗をひっくり返したような高台風の作りで面白い。
水注の前後には遊び心溢れる筆が入る。
八木先生による自由で、見る人を愉しませる企みを持ったデザインは、多くの作り手に影響を与え続けている。
A set of two semi-sphererical shapes are horizontally joined at the center to form the pot.
YAGI Kazuo had used this method in variation to create a series of artwork such as vessels.
In this piece, the excess clay left at the joint area is intentionally left untouched, adding the deliberate element of texture.
The shape of the upper part resembles an inverted bowl, with the foot ring creatively transformed into a knob.
