A set of 6 Dishes, Iron Painting 鐡絵紅葉文皿 六

スライスした素地を思いにまかせて叩いた、厚みのある不整形な器に魯山人流の紅葉に雪の図柄が鉄絵により描かれている。

魯山人先生の手にかかると、生き生きとした紅葉に、フワリと舞い落ちる雪が抜けで表現される。そこに縁起物の松葉が加わることにより、器の中に軽快なリズムが生まれている。

常緑の松葉に加え、紅葉、雪と、情緒あふれる逸品となる。


※松葉柄
落ち葉になっても二本の葉の元がしっかりと繋がり、離れ離れになることがないということから、夫婦円満の意味も持つ縁起物の柄とされている。

His characteristic motif of red leaves and snow is depicted with iron painting on thick irregular plates that is made of sliced clay strongly bitten to flatten.
The lively red leaves, lightly falling snow and pine needles of luck charms give a rhythm to the plates. It has a traditional atmosphere by those motives.

Pine leaves made with two needles is strongly tighten at the root, and it seems never be apart. It is a traditional charm of good partnership.
