島村 光SHIMAMURA Hikaru
陶歴/ History
島村光1942年 岡山県長船町(現瀬戸内市)に生まれる
1962年 浪速短期大学(現大阪芸術大学短期大学部)絵画科卒業後、工芸関係の職に就く
前衛美術の感化を受ける
1975年 近世の備前焼細工物に惹かれ、陶芸の道に進む
1978年 長船町に穴窯を築いて独立
1990年 備前市久々井に移り、登り窯を築窯
1997年 初めての個展「十三支 おくれてきたねこ」(しぶや黒田陶苑)を開く
2000年 「ちいさなたからもの 秋から冬へ」(しぶや黒田陶苑)
2002年 「備前細工物に遊ぶ ~窯辺のスケッチ~」(岡山天満屋)を開催
以後、05、07、13年岡山天満屋、17年広島天満屋で個展を開催
2003年 「窯場の風景 −作品− 」(しぶや黒田陶苑)
2004年 「はつがま −泡瓶− 」(しぶや黒田陶苑)
2006年 「六十三の心音」(しぶや黒田陶苑)
2010年 「壷」(しぶや黒田陶苑)
2013年 備前市指定無形文化財「備前焼の製作技術」保持者に認定
2015年 岡山県文化奨励賞受賞
「変わらざるものの尊さ 島村光と古陶の共演展」(黒住教宝物館)を開催
2016年 山陽新聞賞「文化功労」受賞
マルセンスポーツ・文化省「マルセン特別賞」受賞
2017年 島村光・金重有邦・隠﨑隆一展 岡山県立美術館
2018年 十三支 おくれてきたねこⅣ LIXILギャラリー

SHIMAMURA Hikaru
1942 Born in Okayama prefecture.
1962 Graduated from Naniwa Tanki Daigaku (Naniwa Junior College) and worked at craft-related
environment, and was inspired by the Avant-garde art.
1975 Became a potter being strongly attracted to the modern Bizen handiworks.
1978 Built a Anagama kiln.
1990 Moved to Kugui in Bizen City, and built a climbing kiln.
1997 Held his first exhibition at Shibuya Kurodatoen "Juni-shi, a cat coming late".
2000 Held a exhibition of "Small Treasure from Fall to Winter" at Shibuya Kurodatoen
2002 Held an exhibition of "Playing with Bizen Small Objects ~Sketching at the Kiln"
(Okayama Tenmaya Department)
And also held exhibition in 2005, 2007, 2013 at Okayama Tenmaya, and Hiroshima Tenmaya in 2017
2003 Held an exhibition titled "The Scenery of the Kiln~Works~" at Shibuya Kurodatoen
2004 Held an exhibition titled "The First firing ~tea pot~" at Shibuya Kurodatoen
2006 Held an exhibition titled "The sixty three heart beat " at Shibuya Kurodatoen
2010 Held an exhibition titled "Vase" at Shibuya Kurodatoen
2013 Appointed an Intangible Cultural Property "Bizen Ware" by Bizen City
2015 Won an Okayama Prefecture Cultural Award
2016 Awarded the Cultural Merit by Sanyo Shimbun(Newspaper company).
Won a “Marusen Special Award” at Marusen Sports Ministry of Culture
