1974年 多治見市に七代加藤幸兵衛の長男として生まれる祖父は人間国宝の加藤卓男
1997年 京都精華大学芸術学部陶芸科を卒業する
在学中より松本ヒデオ先生に師事する
1999年 京都市立芸術大学大学院陶磁器専攻修了
在学中より秋山陽先生、石川九楊先生に師事
2000年 家業の幸兵衛窯に入る
2002年 倒焰式窯を自ら築く
2006年 現代作家茶碗特集(日本橋三越本店)以後毎年
2010年 大明寺(中国・揚州)鑑真和上像里帰り大法会にて作品を献上
2012年 越後妻有アートトリエンナーレ

1974 Born as the first son of the 7th Kato Kobei. His grandfather is a living national treasure, Kato Takuo.
1997 Graduated from Kyoto Seika University, Faculty of Art, Ceramic Course. He studied under MATSUMOTO Hideo while he was at school.
1999 Earned ph.D. at Kyoto City College of Art, majoring in Ceramics.
Studied under a potter AKIYAMA Yo, and a calligrapher ISHIKAWA Kyuyou.
2000 Entered Kobei-gama (the family business).
2010 Solo exhibition at Shibuya Kurodatoen. Since then, he had held solo exhibitions and has exhibited his works at yearly exhibitions of Shibuya Kurodatoen.
2014 Exhibited at Paramita Ceramic Grand Prize Exhibition
Exhibited at "Ten Japanese Potters"(Goldmark Gallery, UK)
2017 Built a new kiln for Hikidashi-kuro
2018 Requested by Sen So-oku, tea master of Mushakouji-Senke School, made a teabowl for a completion ceremony for the construction of Central Golden Hall of Kohfukuji temple, one of Japan’s oldest and most famous Buddhist temples
2021 Won a Gifu Prefecture Arts and Culture Encouragement Award
2023 Won a Japan Ceramic Society award
