自ら探し求めた土を丹念により分け槌（つち）で叩きふるいにかける。水を加えて足で踏み粘土をつくっていく。土の個性を尊重するため、土を濾しブレンドすることは極力さけて制作する。さらに釉と焼の表現を活かすための努力を惜しまない。二十年ほど前、トンバイを使って築いた独特の窖窯「皿屋川登窯」（全長三・五ｍ・さらやかわとがま）を築窯して、すでに六十回以上は焼成しているという。
この窖窯で、奥高麗や絵唐津、そして引出し技法の黒唐津などの茶陶の代表作が誕生してきた。
今回の奥高麗茶碗は、今までの土ではなく、夾雑物の少ない白土を主体として使い焼成温度を変えて長時間焼成を試みた。何よりも土の個性を的確に掴み、その焔を潜り抜けた茶陶は、深く変化をもたらして美しい。各種の茶碗のほか、龍文絵粉引壷・斑唐津壷水指・絵唐津壷水指・朝鮮唐津花入・斑唐津花入も見ごたえある力作揃、ご来苑をお願いします。
